“The Lumberjack” Zach Suttles is back

zachsuttleskoThe Lumberjack Zach Suttles has been plaqued with injuries since taking some time off to recover and heal but hes back and hungry as ever to return to the cage. “I”m ready to fight” says Suttles who returned to practice at the G-Force camp a month ago. My cardio might be down a little right now but with the core training we get at G-Force I can already see a big improvement in myself. I am really looking to improve my ground game to the best it’’s ever been and I have no doubt with all the new talent in the gym right now I have to train with it’’s just a matter of time before I get myself back where I was before my injuries. My last fight was almost 2 years ago with the now defunct AFL and I am hungry to get in there and knock someone out! said Suttles who fights Pro MMA at 170lb. “Its great to have Zach back it’’s a great asset to all the new amateur fighters to have someone like Suttles to train with, his intensity and heart in training sets a good example for the new guys and lets them know what it takes to become a pro mixed martial arts fighter”, says Mr.G. Zach is one of the original group of G-Force Fighters and has remained dedicated and loyal to the team. Hes still young and has a great future ahead of him and I really look forward to him getting back in the cage.

Brandon “the Warrior” Walker fighting……

his first pro fight since getting back training with the team. Walker will be fighting on Oct 24th at the Belterra Casino for the MMA Bigshow. “I””m pumped to get the opportunity to fight in this event and show Jason and the fans at the Bigshow my intensity. I fight at 135 lb and as of now there is no 135lb Pro title so I am hoping to build myself as a contender with the Bigshow and possibly get a shot at the Bantamweight title, said Walker. Brandon is currently 1-1 as a pro and is coming off a win over Carson Gainey. I””ve really stepped up my training since getting back in the G-Force gym these guys are my family and the training we get there is crazy and I missed that for awhile because of personal reasons but I””m back and stronger, faster and above all my cardio is at it”’’s best.
Look for other G-Force fighters on the card as Chris “the Samurai” Bennett makes his return to fight a title defense against Team Prodigy”’’s Aaron Maynard. Joe Pegg is back to establish his position in the 135 amateur division. Also look for Jacob Larter to return to

Bennett with the Triangle – Helton with a Gogoplata

Chris “The Samurai” Bennett pulls off another impressive win over Team Vision fighter Steve Muldrow on June 20 th 2009 at the MMA Bigshow at the Beltera Casino in Indiana. Retaining his title and bringing his amateur mixed martial arts record to 12 – 1. “We knew Steve was a formidable matchup for Chris he was big and strong and had good wrestling skills” said Mr. G. Chris has been working extra hard on his standup and was anxious to show the crowd he is more than just a jiujitsu fighter after landing a nice 3 piece combination which rocked Muldrow. Steve moved in for the clinch and attempted to take Bennett to the ground. Me and my coaches Mr.G and Coach Craig pretty much planned this to happen we watched some videos of Steve and knew what to expect I figured he would be blocking the armbars we figured he did his homework too. So I threw up a left side triangle as he pulled the arm back,” I really figured he would test my cardio but you make a mistake with me on the ground and I’ll submit you, said Bennett In what was probably submission of the night Team G-Force fighter Colt Helton improves his record to 5-1 and became the new MMA Bigshow Welterweight amateur champion over Team Vision’s Ben Cox. The fight begins with Cox throwing a low body kick, Helton answers with a thrust kick and Cox moves in for the clinch. Both fighters battle in the clinch for the takedown. Colt maintains the over and under and Cox falls and ends up in Heltons guard. Cox has a hard time passing guard leaning in to throw punches, Colt punches him in the face a few times before slipping in a beautiful gogoplata and forcing Cox to tap. Helton is the new MMA Bigshow Welterweight Amateur Champion.
