Stanford steps back in the Ring

Team G-Force MMA fighter Charles Stanford known for his exciting abilities to put on a show in the cage, will step back in the squared circle for the second time on January 29th, 2016 at Absolute Action Boxing in the BB&T arena located on the campus of Northern Ky University. Stanford made his Pro Boxing debut back on March 7th, 2015 during the Arnold Classic at the Lifestyle Pavilion in Columbus Ohio. Charles picked up his first win in a split decision against Hakeem Watkins who was making his Pro Debut and had over 70 amateur boxing matches. Watkins trains out of the camp of Buster Douglas the boxer who was known for giving Iron Mike Tyson his first KO.

Stanford was set to face off with Larry Stampley out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but Stampley failed to show up to weigh-ins without any notice to the promotion. Bryan Goldsby’s opponent dropped as well so Stanford stepped up to take the fight without hesitation. We talked to Charles to find out how his training is going and his reaction to Stampley. Heres what he had to say:

“My Camps going great I’m getting in hundreds of rounds at the gym with a lot of cardio and speed training. I’m a fighter I don’t care who I step in the ring or the cage with, at G-Force we train to fight and always be ready for the unexpected so nothings gonna be different I am always ready to put on a show for my fans. ”

Goldsby brings a 2-1 pro boxing record to the ring and has an 18-14 pro record in MMA with notable wins over guys like Isaiah Chapman and Jeff Curran.

Team G-Force’s Marc McDonald will also be on the card making his Pro Boxing Debut against Terrell Houston.

Tickets are Available at the Door and the Show starts at 8:00 pm
